I do some volunteering with Boy scout camps and centers in my area. They cant afford to keep their own equipment on location all the time, so I have to bring my own pretty often. I've actually got a prety Kickass looking case that I can basically open and have my own mini server, router with WiFi, and a couple modems, the usual jacks and stuff like that. I call it my network in a box. Maybe I'll do a post about it in detail some time.
So, after all that introduction, I carry several modems with me all the time. Cable, DSL, and a Verizon MiFi. Now, I dont know if they exist anywhere, but a Cable DSL Modem Combo would be pretty cool. I know I could basically assemble my own by changing out some interfaces on a cisco for example, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a modem where you could plug Cable and/or DSL in and get regular Ethernet out. Bonus points If it can do cell connection built in or can do USB interface with the MiFi. Anyone ever heard of such a thing?
