Sure, I understand that. But as I mentioned in my post, I need would have to purchase a whole separate solution (SAM) just to do TCP port monitoring? That's not a cost effective solution, mostly because there is no other value to me. Being on the network support team, and not the server or application support teams, I prefer to use NPM, but would like to do a socket check.
