Bally Technologies has an opening for a certified Solarwinds Engineer at their headquarters located in Las Vegas NV. This positions is a full time, direct hire position.
Work Experience -Skills Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience working with Network Management systems with an emphasis on the Solarwinds application suite.
- 4+ years’ general experience in the networking and/or computer systems field
- Experience in a Cisco LAN/WAN environment.
- Knowledge in several of the following areas: Scripting, MS SQL, MS Windows Server 2008, layer 2 and layer 3 network technologies.
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Must possess excellent communication skills. .
Duties performed:
- Providing support, design, and monitoring of the Solarwinds Suite used by the Bally Technologies gaming network.
- Provides expert knowledge of network management tools, designs and plans the presentation of data to improve the efficiency of Bally Technologies in performing daily proactive monitoring of the network and systems.
- The candidate will assist in troubleshooting of network-related problems and monitoring of the network.
- Monitors network traffic to ensure optimum uptime and performance in a proactive manner.
- Acts as primary liaison between other groups and the Bally Technologies gaming network for network management and monitoring.
- Requires rotational 24/7 on-call duties with other team members.
- Manage upgrades of network management products, servers and Operating Systems to maintain integrity of network management systems and products.
Education and/or Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Industry certifications such as a CCNA, MCSE a plus.
