Most of SAMs Component Monitor types already have some type of retry mechanism built-in. In the case of some, like Windows Performance Counter, as many as three retries are made before placing the component into a "Down" state. If you have a specific component monitor type that is giving you trouble occasionally, enable debug logging on that application and collect diagnostics immediately following a false positive alert. Then open a case with support so we can troubleshoot the issue further.
