Apply New Application and Services Ports for only New DATA and not old DATA

Is there a way when you create a new defined Application and Service Ports that it will only update data for new traffic coming into NTA. I am saying this because every-time I create a New Defined Application Port it always updates the old DATA. I have 3TB of Flow storage and it takes days every time I do this.
