I think the best way to integrate it into a NOC type of work is to scan all the company subnets, add all the DHCP servers (though maybe with read-only), set the default scan interval to 2-3hours to stay ahead of arp cache time-outs, give the NOC user group read-only access to the parent all all subnets, then add the search by IP address IPAM resource to the top of your node monitoring page.
Just like you might search by node name or search by interface name - now you could search by an IP and find out what device is reporting back - even if it's not being monitored by NPM.
